HUMAN RIGHTS FILM FESTIVAL OF BARCELONA

The Human Rights Film Festival with the main headquarter in Barcelona and also in NYC and Paris, directed by Toni Navarro and organised by the entity La Mirada Descubierta, remains faithful to a dual commitment: on the one hand, to promote and open up spaces for the dissemination and screening of cinematographic works dealing with the defence of human rights; and on the other hand, to increase public awareness and boost the respect for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights based on the dissemination of those works.

Open to genres of fiction, animation and documentaries into two official sections: the official section of feature films and the official section of short films.

The works entered for competition will be opting for the official prizes given by the organisers, "Best Short Film" and "Best Feature Film", "Human Rights Film Festival Prize", and the "Human Rights International Journalism Prize". From their part, the entities Amnesty International and Survival International will be granting two honorary prizes.

The programme is completed with a number of parallel activities such as specialist talks by leading national and international speakers, exhibitions concerning the world of the human rights, and worldwide travelling exhibitions of the Festival.

HOW TO REGISTER A FILM FOR 2013

The deadline to enter is the 31st of December 2012. All entries must be received by this date.

Films from 2009 onwards. Fiction, animation, or documentary.

You can do the registration of your film through our website or through www.shortfilmdepot.com.

Both ways are free of charge.

Copies sent to the festival will not be returned.

Please choose short film or feature film and follow the steps to do the registration.
