Afghanistan may be in turbulence but it is producing some of the world’s best cinema.
Sediq Barmak famous filmmaker of our country will be one of jury member in Mumbai International Film Festival this year. Also One future film has been selected in international competition.
Taking note of this, the 15th edition of the Mumbai Film Festival will show nine films under a segment called “Kabul Fresh.” Films will screened in 'Kabul Fresh:
1. Eye witness / Rafi Behroozian & Alka Sadat
2. Driving Test / Mahbouba Ebrahimi
3. A Time Called Oldness / Hamed Alizadeh
4. End of Love / Ghafar Azad
5. Life Imprisonment / Gholamreza Majedi
6. One Wish / Mohammad Aref Abidian
7. The Glasses / Seyyed Hussein Mousavi
8. Kabul Ambulance / Taj Mohammad Bakhtari
9. Amir and Sara / Sayed Jalal Husseini
This is the second year that the festival will see films which mark the blossoming of the film movement in Afghanistan. Over 200 films from 65 countries will be shown at the Festival between October 17 and 24.
