Police festival Committee Award Application.
Only 14 projects were selected from
among 84 projects to be accepted.
Seyyed Hussein Mousavi with "Thieves
and Police" short fiction and Seyyed
Qasem Husseini with "Salang" short documentary are tow filmmakers from MIRIAM FILMS.
POLICE FILM is an international
short film festival bringing together films from around the world in a dynamic
look at law and order in our societies.
Supported by week long art
exhibitions, musical performances and photography, the Police Film Festival
will begin May 10 with 3 days of screenings and Q&A's with directors.
The Festival concludes with a series
of televised discussions and debates on the police- becoming a space for
thought, reflection and dialogue as festivalgoers sit down with filmmakers,
civil rights activists and police leaders.
14 of Afghanistan's award-winning
filmmakers are part of the effort to create a new look at policing in this country.
The Afghanistan Ministry of Interior
is at the forefront of supporting POLICE FILM effort providing a unique insight
into one of the most controversial police forces in the world.
